Nusa Putra University has once again strengthened its international network through collaborations built with international campuses. One of them is Kathmandu Law School (KLS) Nepal which is one of the best law schools in Asia. The collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service was signed by the Chancellor of Nusa Putra, Dr. Kurniawan, and KLS Director Prof. Dr. Yubaraj Sangroula in Kathmandu Nepal some time ago.

The cooperation signing event began with an explanation of the urgency of cooperation from both parties. In his presentation, the Director of KLS, Prof. Yubaraj Sangroula revealed several current legal issues that need to be addressed by both institutions.

“Issues regarding the environment require our collective stance. “There are similarities in the problems currently facing Nepal and Indonesia, therefore it is hoped that the collaboration between these two institutions can contribute ideas and thoughts to the government to improve our environment,” said Prof. Sangroula.

Furthermore, Prof. Sangroula said that he was happy to be able to collaborate with Nusa Putra University, especially with the Nusa Putra Law Study Study Program. According to him, he has paid a lot of attention to Nusa Putra’s progress in the international arena and has had a very good performance.

“Nusa Putra is one of the best universities in Indonesia, we believe this collaboration can have a positive impact on the progress of their respective institutions and make a positive contribution to the international world,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Nusa Putra, Dr. Kurniawan in his presentation also explained that Nusa Putra chose to collaborate with KLS because KLS was considered to have a very good reputation, in fact, according to him, KLS was one of the best Law Schools in Asia.

“Kathmandu Law School is one of the best law schools in Asia. We can see this from the publications and achievements achieved by students. “Therefore, we believe that this collaboration can have a positive impact on the development of legal science in particular, generally as an academic effort to encourage legal improvements in various sectors,” said Dr. Kurniawan.

The Chancellor of Nusa Putra further said that the law professors at KLS are experts in their respective fields. Later these professors can come to Indonesia to provide material to Nusa Putra students, especially the Law Study Program.

“On the other hand, pre-lecturers from Nusa Putra can also come to KLS, as well as on student exchange. “I think this is a strategic step for us to collaborate and produce several innovative research and activities for the common good,” he said.
