As a step towards strengthening international cooperation with Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and addressing important global issues, Nusa Putra University organized a Public Lecture on International Relations with the theme “India and Indonesia Academia as a Bridge of Brotherhood,” delivered by Prof. Gauman Kumar, a Professor of International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. The event took place on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Auditorium of Nusa Putra University in Cisaat-Sukabumi.
Nusa Putra University held this international relations public lecture as part of its efforts to develop international networks with Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. This was directly expressed by Dr. Kurniawan, the Rector of Nusa Putra University, in his speech.
“This event is part of Nusa Putra University’s efforts to develop international networks, in this case, with Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.”
Furthermore, the Rector also revealed that Nusa Putra University is currently developing international exchange programs for students and lecturers with Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. He also hoped that through this public lecture, both students and lecturers of Nusa Putra University could be more collaborative in terms of international relations.
“Nusa Putra University is currently developing international programs, one of which is exchanging students and lecturers between Nusa Putra and Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Through this public lecture, we hope that students and lecturers can be more collaborative in terms of international relations.”
Meanwhile, Prof. Gauman Kumar, Professor of International Relations at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and the speaker at the public lecture, expressed his first impression of visiting Nusa Putra University, stating that it was an extraordinary experience and very memorable for him.
“I think this is an extraordinary experience; I could visit Nusa Putra University and interact directly with the students here, and it’s very impressive.”
Furthermore, Prof. Gauman also emphasized that his visit to Nusa Putra University not only provided material on international relations but also provided opportunities for Nusa Putra students to realize their dreams through scholarship programs provided by the Indian government.
“We also come to Nusa Putra University to provide opportunities for students here to realize their dreams through scholarship programs provided by the Indian government.”
The students who attended the public lecture were very enthusiastic and expressed their joy in gaining interesting insights directly from the foreign speaker (India).
“The event was very exciting; we were very happy and enthusiastic to attend this public lecture. We also gained interesting insights into education and international relations from Prof. Gauman as the speaker.”
The International Relations public lecture was attended by the Rector of Nusa Putra University along with the university’s executive board, program chairs, lecturers, and hundreds of Nusa Putra University students.
