Universitas Nusa Putra (NPU) has once again successfully organized a series of international academic events titled the International Global Conferences in two countries: Singapore and Thailand. This annual event, held over five days from August 26 to August 30, 2024, featured six conferences across various fields aligned with Nusa Putra’s programs. The conferences attracted hundreds of participants, including students, faculty members, and practitioners from various countries.
Anggy Pradiftha, Vice Rector I of Universitas Nusa Putra, explained that the International Global Conference this year included three conferences focused on science and technology held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and three conferences covering business, social sciences, and humanities at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand. According to him, this event provides a platform for academics and practitioners from around the world to present their latest research findings.
“This Global Conference is an annual agenda for Nusa Putra, involving all study programs and inviting the best speakers in their respective fields. It is our opportunity to showcase our latest research results,” said Vice Rector I Pradiftha.
He further noted that the international conference participants came from 15 different countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, India, the United Kingdom, Germany, Malaysia, and others. Nusa Putra itself sent a delegation of 161 participants, consisting of both faculty members and students.
“The participants and speakers are from 15 countries. Nusa Putra sent 161 students and faculty members to this event,” he stated.
Keynote speakers at the event included Ts. Dr. Zubaile Bin Abdullah from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Dr. Pimkamol Kongphok from the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, Thailand, Prof. Dr. Paula Banerjee from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, Dr. Nina Kurnia Hikmawati, S.E., M.M., M.Kom from Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM), Prof. ONG Soh Khim from the National University of Singapore, Azarudeen Shanavas, Founder & Creative Head of Artzee Animation Singapore, Dr. Manisha Bose from Assumption University, and Jantima Angkapanichkit, Ph.D. from Thammasat University, Thailand.
The event was inaugurated by I Gusti Agung Ketut Satrya Wibawa, the Education and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for and support of Universitas Nusa Putra’s Global Conference.
“The Indonesian Embassy fully supports this event, and in the future, we will collaborate on organizing this conference together,” he said.
