Nusa Putra University Holds the 2nd Rank of the Most Abundant Research University

Nusa Putra University’s advancement as an excellent and innovative campus is increasingly tangible. One of which is the accomplishment of qualified research domain. Cited from data released by Higher Education System Board of Region IV (LLDIKTI IV) which shows that in 2022, Nusa Putra University categorized as the second position of the most abundant research university.

Dr. M. Samsuri as a head of LLDIKTI IV revealed that Nusa Putra University ranked as the 2nd of a total 20 research funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research  and technology 4 points adrift of the 1st rank occupied by Telkom University of 133 Universities which received research endowment in LLDIKTI IV year 2022 from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for West Java-Banten provinces at the Research and Community Service Contract occasion , Thursday (16/06/2022). 

For that reason, the Head of LLDIKTI IV Dr. M. Samsuri congratulated and thanked universities for their efforts and encouraged lecturers to keep being productive in the field of research.

“I congratulate the recipients of research endowment from the Ministry of Education, Culture,  Research and Technology year 2022 and thank the universities that maintain to encourage lecturers to keep conducting research productively,” said Dr. Samsuri.

Meanwhile Nusa Putra University’s Rector, Dr. Kurniawan stated, in addition to research funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the university also always produces hundreds of research annually both nationally and internationally.

“We are grateful that this year 20 of our lecturers’ research were funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, which definitely can motivate us to continue conducting research productively. Indeed, every year we produce hundreds of research published in various scientific journals, seminars and conferences both nationally and internationally, “he asserted.

Dr. Kurniawan revealed, currently Nusa Putra University has 13 scientific journals, 10 National Seminars and 6 International Conferences which consistently serve as a forum for disseminating the research results of Nusa Putra University lecturers and students. According to him, publications from several Nusa Putra International Conferences have even been indexed by reputable international scientific institutions such as Scopus and WoS. 

” For example the International Conference on Computing, Engineering and Design (ICCED), Alhamdulillah, it’s now in its 8th year that its publications have been indexed by Scopus,” he said.

Dr. Kurniawan hopes that in the future, more research from Nusa Putra’s lecturers and students will be produced so that more innovations will be produced.

“This innovation is an important key, one of which is to encourage economic growth and can contribute as to policy makers in various other sectors,” concluded Dr. Kurniawan.(*)
